TIPS ON PROPER ROOF & SIDING MAINTENANCE

Have the house inspected by a reputable and licensed contractor to determine the remaining life of the roof and siding, previous repairs and installation, possible leaks or areas at risk for a leak, New England Exteriors, Inc. will apply the cost of such an inspection to the installation of a new roof and/or siding.

Wood roofs and siding are not maintenance free systems. New England Exteriors, Inc. recommends that the wood be power washed and oiled at least every 5 years.

Roofs other than wood should be serviced twice a year, before the winter and summer seasons, as all roofs will expand and contract with the change in seasonal temperatures.

Roofing and Siding maintenance service should include cleaning of gutters and a general inspection for leaks, missing or loose shingles, and mildew.
